We have been asking ourselves the very same question. It has been quite surreal to be here. Eight weeks of travel, 100 degree temperatures and not being able to leave makes me feel funny.
But its a good place to be stuck. And our hotel hosts did give us another, even better room. So we packed up our stuff, moved about 25 feet across the courtyard and unloaded. Of course, if we stay beyond tonight we have to move again, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
Ok, now to the fun stuff! Shelby is on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe mainline. It has a neat station.
Amtrak's the Empire Builder comes through twice a day. We have been tempted to get on and ride back home to St. Paul.
BNSF vs. Rialta
The rodeo was interesting. I need to buy a cowboy hat. My shorts and tennis shoes were a bit out of place. But everyone in town knows--those are the people whose RV broke down.
Bucking bronco.
Rodeo clown's car on fire.
That's all for now.

Hi guys,
I hope you are okay. Did you make it out of Montana? Still, what a unique ending to the long trip. At least you didn't breakdown on the dirt roads of northern Alaska without cell phone service. :) Looking forward to seeing you both soon. I hope everything went well in Montana and you are home safely now.
